Below are the addictions qualifications recognised by dapaanz as teaching the Addiction Intervention Competency Framework (so will qualify you for either provisional or full registration).
There are two groups of qualifications
1. Applied addiction qualifications
These cover both the foundation and addiction practitioner competencies, and include an applied component. Completion of one of these qualifications meets the qualification requirements for provisional and then full registration.
2. Addiction qualifications for those who already have an applied health or social science degree
These can be completed during provisional registration and build on existing clinical skills by teaching how to use them to cover the addiction practitioner competencies. For those without an addiction-specific qualification one of these qualifications is required before applying for full registration.
