Tim Harding |

My key roles are managing Care NZ (NGO addiction treatment
provider), chairing DAPAANZ and the New Zealand Drug
Foundation and sitting on a variety of advisory groups
including the National Mental Health and Addiction Workforce
Development Project which gives me the opportunity and
privilege to further the cause of the addiction treatment
sector, the people who work in the sector and most importantly
those they serve, our clients. |

Wolfgang Theuerkauf |
Auckland
Wolfgang arrived in NZ in 1989 and
has since then worked in the AOD field in a number
of roles and organisations like ADDS (Presbyterian
Support Services) and CADS from 1990 to 1997. He
was a senior lecturer and manager with CIT and WelTec’s
AOD programmes from 1997 until 2004 and is since
2005 the manager of the Auckland CADS Counselling
Service, the CADS Pregnancy and Parental Service
and the CADS Training Team. Wolfgang is the current
chairman of the National Training Providers Network
under the Matua Raki AOD Workforce Development Project,
a member of the National Committee for Addiction
Treatment (NCAT) and has been a member of the DAPAANZ
Executive since 2004. |

Bruce Levi |
Auckland
Currently a member on the Executive and Chair of the
National Pacific Treatment Forum. Also associated with
the NZ Accreditation Board of AOD Service. I am currently
with Tupu, Pacific Mental Health AOD and Gambling Services,
Waitemata DHB. |

River Paton |
|
River has worked within the NZ AOD sector for approximately 20 years in a variety of roles and settings, both clinical and managerial. When she is not working in the office she is out on the farm with her partner riding horses and running dogs.

Dr. Fraser Todd |
Christchurch
I work clinically with adolescents suffering
mental health and substance related problems at Youth
Specialty
Services, Christchurch, and as a Senior Lecturer with
the National Addiction Centre. I have been involved with
the Alcohol & Drug competencies from their inception,
and also been a member of the Executive of DAPAANZ since
it began. |

Annabel Prescott |
Auckland
Having worked with young people in various
roles for the last 10 years. I am specialised in working
with youth
who have alcohol and drug issues and in youth health.
My experience is in a variety of different clinical and
non-clinical settings. I have demonstrated the ability
to engage and effectively work with marginalized youth
who are out of mainstream alcohol and drug settings – such
as Alternative Education and also young people living
on the streets. |

Claire Aitken |
Dunedin
I have been the Programme Director of Moana house since
it began in 1987 and also a Director of the Moana House
Training Institute. Moana House is a therapeutic community
that deal primarily with clients who have long-term AOD
related criminal offending histories. My overall responsibility
is with the therapeutic programme; the staff; the residents,
and the Training Institute. I also do some teaching for
the Training Institute. |

Tuari Potiki |
Wellington
Tuari has been a member of the DAPAANZ since 1995. He
brings a Recovery Perspective, and has also completed
formal qualifications, is a strong advocate for Maori
in general and Kai Tahu in particular, and is from the
south. He also has a national perspective. |

Rawiri (David) Evans |
Born in Lower Hutt I grew up in a community
where I have seen many changes.
In 2005 I joined the team in the Planning and Funding
division at the Hutt Valley District Health Board,
with 20 years experience in the Alcohol and Drug Treatment
and Health Promotion fields.
My current role is a new position that came from an
intensive Alcohol and Other Drug Service review that
was undertaken in 2003. This role is being developed
and the Hutt Valley DHB is the lead provider in the
Central Region of the North Island.
I have undertaken and completed a Bachelors Degree
and two Diplomas in the last 4 years at Te Wananga
o Raukawa an indigenous tertiary university in New
Zealand. I also completed two post graduate papers in 2005
at Massey University and I am currently doing another
paper in 2006 and also hope to complete my post graduate
diploma in 2007.
