Step 1 - complete online application

You will need: 

  • copies of relevant qualifications ( you MUST upload these in the Member Disclosure/Qualification Documents section of the form)
  • documentation of any Disclosure information that falls outside of the Clean Slate Legislation Act 2004 (uploadable)

Step 4 - organise payment of fee

payment details

  • we prefer you pay by direct credit (ANZ Account: 06-0201-0631490-00). Please ensure you put your membership number and name in the reference box. If the fee is being paid by your Employer, please specify
  • if you need to pay by Cheque, please make payable to dapaanz and send to dapaanz via Post: dapaanz, PO Box 25 283, Featherston Street, Wellington 6146
  • make/arrange payment of the fee for $300.00 (incl GST)

 

Qualification requirements for provisional registration

  • a degree in addiction studies. The degree must include learning relevant to the AoD and/or PG Practitioner competency requirements outlined in full in The Addiction Intervention Competency Framework (2011); or
  • the Te Taketake Diploma in Applied Addictions Counselling is also accepted; or
  • an applied bachelor degree (or higher) in nursing, psychology, social work, medicine, counselling; or
  • a level 8 applied addictions qualification as endorsed and/or approved by dapaanz. Applied in this context is defined as comprising a significant component of assessed clinical practice within the learning programme e.g. equivalent to at least 120 hours practicum within the learning programme.
