We are committed to supporting members to grow and develop through continuing professional development (CPD), and want to make training opportunities accessible. Check out our 2018 workshops. Of note, we have international addictions and mindfulness guru Valerie Mason Johns providing training in November in Auckland.
The international mindfulness addiction expert Valerie Mason John will be facilitating a two-day workshop for dapaanz in November. Valerie Mason-John, co-author of Eight Step Recovery: Using the Buddha’s Teachings to Overcome Addiction, explores how our stinking thinking can be our biggest addiction and how loving kindness can save lives. Valerie has her own powerful story of recovery.
"Valerie Mason-John is a human in deep recovery, Buddhist teacher, writer, performance artist.... the lasting impression is that of striking presence, a genuine person with joyful wisdom extracted from profound suffering". Gabor Mate
"Valerie Mason-John clearly understands how to handle anger skillfully, in ways that support the healing of the heart. Because she understands it from her own experience, Valerie is well-positioned to help others work with it. If you suffer from anger and don't know what do about it - this is a book for you".
